Nice story and well written. It hits home with me after confessing my love for a dear friend to her, being rejected, and losing the friendship we had.

yes, the story is nice.. yes, i agree with your premise that 'just friends' is a very annoying notion that (especially women) can have about certain relationships with guys that are 'too likeable' to have a relationship with (honestly.. the need for a guy that is 'bad' is something i have never quite been able to understand rationally.. then again, i'm sure you know what they say about women and rational thinking :P)

but also no, to some extent.. because you were laying your resentment on a bit thick.. really, the message came across beforehand already..

still, one can only hope that those who think this way and complain afterwards figure it out too :p

Would a love and sexual intercourse have felt so intensly had these two not been friends for so long? That's my qustion. Something to think about for sure.
