Nice bitter-sweet story.). Reminds me of "our song" (my now wife of 50 years and I) back then, the Loving Spoonful's "You and me and rain on the roof." The Story adds what was not said (but perhaps implied) in the song, what they did while "caught uo in a summer shower,,,, waiting now the sun"
