I personally had no problem with the Spanish (finally a few years of Spanish class in school paid off), but maybe for any stories you're working on, you might want to put a translation for the Spanish. Otherwise, great story, it's my go-to when I'm on this site

WHy have any of this in English since we all speak Spanish in your opinion? Your long phrases of her speaking in Spanish jump out of nowhere. That actually took a fairly well done story right down the drain. It was not thoughtful to your readers. If you want Spanish in there, give us a short phrase and its translation, cool way to learn a language and done often italicize the Spanish and then the same phrase in English. Going back and forth, you could have had all the Spanish and we would have understood. Clavell did it in Shogun and I used the same technique in Snap of the Dragon's Tail.

Please don't assume people reading in English are fluent in Spanish, especially dirty Spanish. Might have been hot but for me a total buzzkill.
