What a unique plot

Hi Member389,

This is an unusual plot and very much a romance. The love, born out of the years of friendship, makes it work.

At first I thought this was going to follow Turning Paige but it went a totaly different direction. I enjoy your writing style and storytelling skills. Please keep it up.

Thank you for sharing with us.

Wrong Category?

How do you figure? Could it fit in other categories, sure it could. However, that doesn't make it any less romantic.

I'm hooked

I get more sentimental the more I read. Poignant. A 5 Star Rating.

I’m trying really hard

I’ve stuck with this for three chapters, but this whole story is uncomfortable. What I’m coming up with is that Scott is emotionally manipulating these two, and no matter the reason I just like him less as I read in. Jo seems to toggle between being his victim, a basket case, or a horny house wife putting the moves on poor Bobby. And that’s how I think of him too, “poor Bobby”. He’s the biggest victim in all of this, and instead of being led around by an emotional leash, I find myself wishing he’d run screaming from this disaster and find some real friends. In spite of the extraordinary circumstances you wrote them into, I don’t find them sympathetic or their behavior relatable.

I can imagine a number of different ways in which you could have built around the emotional tension of love and romance growing between these two people left behind by someone they loved so much. It’s an impressive challenge you’ve taken on, but the way you’ve constructed it leaves any budding romance tainted by neuroses, grief, guilt, and the stain of infidelity, a stain that isn’t bleached out by the permission of the spouse, but only made weirder. XS

It is emotionally difficult to read as my sister and brother both have cancer. To have such a friend that cares so deeply about them to do something like this is commendable, but I do feel sorry for Bobby. Great story though.

Everybody dies. Some suddenly from illness or an accident, some pass away after a long illness and much suffering. No matter how, loved ones are left behind to continue life as best as they can. This is a story about that. A good one. Readers need to keep this in mind. I think it's a well told story.

Everybody dies. Some suddenly, some after a long illness and battle for life. There are always people left behind. How it is handled is what this story is about. I believe it is a good story. If it is not how you want it, write one that's the way you want it to be.

One of the toughest things I've found is finding time to write, another is staying focused on what I'm writing. There's nothing quite like being in the middle of writing and realize you need to research something online, then coming back two hours and seven Youtube videos la...
