This is my first written response to any story on this site. The beauty of this story is that sex was not the centerpiece. The love of family and the tenderness shows through, A wonderful love story, and I hope there is more to come. This story is really touching.

I am very affected by the story!

Anyone who can portray loneliness, the need to love and share, and the triumph of establishing a positive and fulfilling family unit as perfectly as dysphemist has a great deal to say, and should keep writing. This is an exceptionally beautiful story.

This was a nice story. Warm and with just enough depth to make it interesting. This is a wonderful holiday tale that one can cozy up with in front of the fireplace. Now if I only had a fireplace . . .

That was a great story gave me a nice warm feeling inside along with a tear of joy for the new found family . good luck in the contest.

I'm not thrilled with the use of down syndrome. And probably the only thing that would have restored my erection would've been analingus, and that did not occur in this story. My point is less down syndrome, more girl on girl analingus. Thank you.

I totally love this story, very believable. I am very envious of the relationship among the family. I don't know why someone like the Anonymous down below requesting "analingus" or whatever s/he calls it would write something so unrelated to the story. I'd say that he is jealous of unconditional love.

Loved it! But who wouldn't? My only complaint is that in a sense the road was too smooth for Beth. But maybe that's just a smoke-screen for my real complaint: that it should have been longer!

Like many other readers, I stumbled upon this story, expecting a lesbian fantasy/experience, but found a touching love story, with sexual romance in it as a way to spice things up a bit. As far as the concept of the website goes, maybe a bit more spice wouldn't have hurt, but it is still lovely the way it is. Thank you for sharing it with us!

This is the first story I have read on this site that actually made me feel something, it was beautifully written and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. When I first saw that it was only two pages long, it put me off slightly, however by the time I had finished I thought that the length suited the story very well. The emotion involved in the story gave it so much more edge over other stories and it has even inspired me to write my own! Thank you very much for sharing this story! X

They say that everyone is looking for something in life, something to belong to, somebody to love, just something. This is such a story, and you tell it very well. I found myself hurrying through the sex scenes to find out what would happen. It was moving and touching. Best of all, you do a good job of highlighting what constitutes family.

I can't seem to keep from crying tonight! I guess I must be emotional or something. This was a beautiful story of two women who needed each other. 5 stars, of course. :) ~ L

This is such a heart warming story. It exemplifies Love in many stages - gratitude, humility, sacrifice, kindness, thoughtfulness, selflessness, hope...unfortunately acts that can be taken advantage of by people exercising the other emotion called Fear (2 emotions: Love & Fear). But I'm going to rave a bit more. The writing isn't perfect, it stumbles and meanders along, but it tells heartfelt truths so elegantly and simply. I'm weeping after reading this because I marvel at the love and compassion shown here. How desperately we need to love and be loved. We yearn for meaning, to be tucked in cuddling our family. It speaks to how lonely we are, how deeply we yearn to belong and to cherish one another.

Really well done. And the sex is pretty fucking awesome as well.

A perfect 10 or in this case, 5 stars! Not a Home is classic like Charlotte's Web but on a super scaled down version. The writing is excellent and the story pulls at your heart strings. Well done dysphemist!
