In the first paragraph the guy is working in a machine shop and 5 mins later he works in a paper bag place for $3.50 an hour? Huh?

I was actually doing both, I opened my own shop at the time, working some evenings and weekends when I got a job in, and worked the day shift in a paper bag plant since just getting started, business was kind of slow.
