Thank you so much for putting this story up. It's as wonderful as all of your other stories. I really enjoyed the progression of Frankie and Lucas's relationship. I also feel like this story brings to light an issue that isn't really mentioned/is glossed over in many other gay stories which is the blame many parents place on their children for their sexuality. In my mind, the mother and stepfather got what they deserved. Once again, great job and please continue to share your stories with us...

that was a very gud story i just love the way you put yourself in the character shoes and tell the story as if that was you, remarkable i loved it can't wait for your next one

I feel like this story, while well written, follows a pretty strict formula found in most of your stories ... of disenfrancished twink meets gruff (but loveable bear), drama, sparks, sex, drama, happy ending. It gets a bit predictable after a while.

You do it right every time! This was a straight-forward story but very good and fast read- Loved it and definitely very heart-warming too. :)

I think this is my favorite of your stories. I've enjoyed all of them but I loved that Luke was slightly fiery and able to stand up for himself. Though he was vulnerable he wasn't too weepy which was great. I also always like it when the bear gets all jealous but doesn't know what to do about it! Finally, one of the best parts was when Frank actually shares some of his secret recipes with Lucas. Nothing says I love you like that!

Love the story, as always you got me in the first few paragraphs. Love the interaction between the characters, always leave me waiting for another story.

Before I say how much I love your stories, I have to complain a little. Every story of yours I've read has been the same basic formula. Some weepy 5'8 twink meets a gruff bear who usually saves him from something. They quickly fall in love and live happily ever after.

And although I know what's gonna happen in every story I keep coming back for more. I just can't help myself. They're so damn sweet!

So even though I complained, go ahead and ignore it. You're stories are sweet enough and good enough for me to look past it.

Finally a character of yours that doesn't use the degrading term "Boy " after every sexual command. It seriously shits me too tears and if I were to be referred to as that by my partner I'd open up a can of whoop ass! Otherwise Awesome story as usual .

I love your story and Lucas. I can relate to him in a lot of ways dealing with an emotionally abusive step mom and a dad that wouldn't believe me. And while I didn't run away, as so much move away to live with my mom I do know what he must of felt like. To have to leave the home you grew up in is hard enough without that kind of history behind you. I think you got the feelings down just right. This is only the 2nd story I've read of yours but so far is my absolute favorite. Keep up the good work my friend.

I keep coming back to this story again and again. It is my favourite because of the strong and sexy characters and the subtle build-up of sexual tension. The lines about Lucas imagining Frankie as his first time are so perfect. Sweet and not at all over-written. I love these two!

all i seem to do is o wow cry like a big baby and get hard.......... cute sexy man story a little to much sex but fun and good.

Other people have already pointed out other great aspects of this story, so I'm not going to repeat those. But more things I liked were that Frankie acknowledged that Lucas contributed to his business, that they built up a friendship first, together with the working relation, and that the customers liked Lucas and could see how good those two guys were together.

And I liked that the private dick turned out to have a conscience (apart from being conscious ;-)

How about Chuck the truck driver getting his own love story for being to kind to Lucas?

I loved your story - I felt I was watching a movie ! To me, Lucas felt real; poor kid, had a bad deal for a mom and a real bastard for a step-dad - I guess those two really deserved each other ! It always blows me away how these effing bitches take their pervy husbands' side instead of listening to their own kids first ...

I was glad when Lucas found Chuck first of all, and for a while I thought something was going to come out from that, but then I was really happy that he met Frankie - a big growling bear of a man, with a sad story of his own. but then, this is how it goes with life; it's not always rosy hued. And your characters always feel very human, you know them well and the exposition is fabulous!

And this is one of the reasons I love your stories - your "sappy and romantic fantasies" make my heart beat faster and I always look forward for more ! Thanx Rob!

This story never stops delighting me - both the plot and the characters are totally believable - there are unfortunately, still, lame excuses for mothers who prefer to believe their perverted spouses to their own flesh and blood. Enjoyed all the twists and turns and glad that Lucas no longer has to think about Emmett. But I'm surprised the private detective dragged Lucas back home - seems he should have known that kidnapping across state lines (and Lucas didn't go willingly) is a federal crime. But besides that reality check, a most enjoyable read.

I guessed, as soon as Lucas saw the "FRANKIE'S" sign, what the inevitable outcome would be. Frankie's gruff exterior would have to be softened by Lucas' youthful enthusiasm and conscientiousness, and Love would develop between them.

I feel sure, Rob, that you and your husband must have such a wonderful, loving relationship, and are able to carry its benefits into your story writing. I hope your theme never changes, and that there is always this loving outcome at the end of your tales.

What a great thing that "Dick's" conscience must have gotten the better of him and he advised the necessary authorities about what was going on.

Of course, Frankie would turn up to be there for Lucas' rescue.

Even though Emmett was such an arsehole, one could not help but feel sorry for him, that he actually caused his own death, but more so for Lucas' mother, who didn't believe what her husband was doing to her son.

Such a great ending for Lucas and Frankie and all their customers.

It's now almost 1.00 am on Sat. Mar 3 in Eastern Australia, but I just had to finish re-reading through this great story once more.

Time-wise, I found it difficult to understand how the police were able to intervene before Emmett was able to abuse Lucas once more, especially Sheriff Tucker and Frankie from such great distance.

One could help but feel sorry for Emmett, even though he was such and arsehole, and for Lucas' mum, who really should have been more supportive of her son. But I suppose she enjoyed Emmett's dick even more, and could not face the reality of what had actually happened.

Let's hope that Frankie and Lucas had a long and happy relationship together and in the Burger place.
