Wow, your story was way more entertaining than I had hoped, you created a very interesting universe and so far your magic system seems pretty intriguing. I like how you've introduced the main character and his many varied abilities, your concept for a necromancer so far is pretty damn interesting.

Having a necromancer for your protagonist has to be a pretty unique situation and you've really made it work. I like how you've given glimpses to his immense potential and made his unique situation even more extraordinary, I assume that he's probably the only mage that has ever properly bonded a demon, let alone a succubus, not to mention the first necromancer to properly summon a ragged man (which is another pretty interesting concept, we never think of necromancer minions being high in quality, more often rather going for sheer numbers)

The female characters you've introduced are already pretty interesting, a whole range of women who are interested in your protagonist with various reasons, I can only hope that Ian gathers those enthralling women into his harem. A necromancer with a succubus, a sorceress, a gang leader and his best friend, along with who knows what other women he'll encounter, will no doubt make an entertaining group.

Definitely looking forward to your next chapter.

The plot is good, and original, gave it a 5 but try to rush the plot line less to get a 5 for the next installment.

I do like this story. The combination of an extremely literate author, a good central concept, and the idea of a magic-user whose darkness exists primarily in the minds and fears of others is one I don't often encounter, and I very much hope to see more of this story in the near future.

Sat down expecting to read a few lines of yet another horribly written fantasy epic. before I knew it I was finishing chapter two. you, my friend, have serious potential as a niche writer. I would say mainstream, but alas, mainstream people prefer such inane drivel...such as Stephen King.

I'm a voracious reader, and very particular about what I feed my mind. I would buy and read anything you wrote. I think this series should be a book.

What I liked...well thought out power use and consequences. Very believable characters, especially in the erotic scenes. Loved the improvisation on the succubus. No fake "Fuck my cunt with your monstrously oversize cock stud" bullshit. humorous and entertaining dialogue, without telling the story through dialogue.

What I would like to see...fleshed out action scenes. More descriptions of cause and effect in the environment. And definitely more chapters in this series.

Ok, God you are too good at writing. Alex and the Demon was at the top of this site for a long time until it got taken off because the guy made it into a book and is currently making money off it. It's been renamed to "Good Intentions" by Elliott Kay best story I've ever read. You are just as good if not better. You should totally think about it publishing this though; you could make some serious doe. This is literally phenomenal.

Ok, I read quite a few interesting stories here. This is definitely one of the best: good enough to compete with fiction books on NYT Bestsellers list. If anything, you should make Ian's journey longer (getting powered up with a revenant and a succubus in less than 10000 words is a bit much). I would definitely pay to read a book like that.

I was a bit skeptical about it in the beginning. The first part felt like much info telling and missed the atmosphere. But info dump doesn't scare me away. And after we left the boy and met the young man it completely enthralled me. A great idea, very well written and I don't have the time to say much more for I'm on my way to part 2. ;-D

Nice to see a story with the stereotypical "bad guy" at the forefront, I have enough trouble finding anything like that anywhere; glad I found yet another good one.

Even better that the character is sympathetic (enough at least).

I love details and rules in a story, and (with things on Literotica) plot, charcter, and tension ("Lit") make the sexy far more enjoyable ("erotica").

I really like this story so far. The beginning was a little rushed, and some of the pacing seemed off, and differentiating between when characters said things had me tripped up sometimes...

BUT, overall, I'm enjoying this a hell of a lot. I love the historical reference, so much that I looked up the Siege of Rhodes to see how a Ragman could fit in. I like your characters, the supernatural ones especially. The Archive has great dialogue without being overbearing as a humor device.

All in all, I'm definitely going to keep reading. 5 Stars.

The path of the necromancer is one of my personal favorites on this site, but I don't think it'd be right for someone else to finish it. The story is his blood sweat and tears and deserves to be finished by him. Hope he comes back soon but until then I'll continue checking his profile sadly and longingly. Along with consistently rereading this arc.

Why do I continue to read this over and over again. It is absolute torcher knowing I'm not going to be able to finish.

Why do I find myself re-reading this story every few months? My do I put myself through such torture... Im not a masochist, but Intrepid_Fate's stories are written so well that I find myself continuously re-reading them... despite their incomplete status. They're so good that I don't regret reading them.

"You are" = "You're" ≠ Your.

It is quite jarring and annoying to read things like "until your eighteen."

...until my eighteen what?

Once might be a typo. But when it repeats, it actually interrupts the narrative like a pop-up window. It is like using the word "red" instead of "banana."

If you have spell-check or auto-correct, it can be as easy as typing the apostrophe.

There is a series called "orphan" in the scifi section. Would you look at that one and see if you could continue it? It has 10 installments and stopped roughly in the middle of the series.
