Great start!

I simply love the way Mel is helping Doug expand his capacity for genuine loving from the heart and leaving obsessivness, ownership and inferiority feelings behind. Wish this kind of open and unconditional love would spread like a healthy, beneficial and life supporting 'virus' all over this scattered world! Eagerly anticipating your next submission in this new series. / ExMonk

Well Done!

An extremely interesting story line. Different from the usual run of stories on this site and very well written leaving me eager for the continuation. This author is one of the best!

Hmm

While not dismissing the possibility of a relationship such as this working. I'd say that more times than not it wouldn't. People are complex creatures and relationships are hard even at the best of times when we are most communicative. Each of us should seek what makes us happy and brings no harm, but I believe that this would not work for most people. Either way I enjoyed it immensely and look forward to new chapters.

GREAT STORY

I love the story. You have a way of drawing a beautiful picture of your characters. Your style is exciting and I love your concept of love.

Interesting read

Things I like: Well written, interesting characters, interesting set-up, good sex.

What I don't like: I can't tell when in time this story is supposed to be set. Ignoring the obvious hints (AIDS, CDs, the clear non-existance of the internet), I would put it sometime between the 50s and 60s. It either feels pre-sexual revolution, or in some conservative part of the south where they didn't hear about it. The giving a girl his frat pin and driving to a motel(!) to have sex both seem really out of time. Although I went to college in the late 90s, weren't college kids having sex in their dorms in the 60s and 70s?

The other thing that sort of confuses me is you have this wonderfully slow romance with Mel, and yet Joy goes straight to sex on the first date?

Still, the story is well executed, and I plan to keep reading it!

just beautiful

i've read a lot of fiction on this site, and wrote just a little. It is a very rare treat to find a story as well written as this one. i'm a guy, but i guess i'm a sucker for a little romance too. you no only delivered on the romance, but also on the sex. you had good character development, and a very solid story line. i hope that one day my writing will be on a level close to this.

The Prom Queen

Where do I find the "The Prom Queen" story?

Good story so far. Not as good as the others of yours though if i'm being honest. Two reasons for this opinion of mine. One is the fact that Pixie seems to have manipulated both Doug and Joy, I can say it is one of the better kinds of manipulation, but it still seems wrong to me (I can't really explain why even to myself) it just does. The other is the apparent continuity issue with the series this is a spin off of 'The Loving Porn Queen'. Where Doug is mister conservative, mister monogamous, and this story takes place Before that one. I'll give you points for glazing over this in 'porn queen' by mentioning Katie from the next series in this (Epic?, Universe?). As you can tell I like continuity and dislike manipulation, so even though this is a good story it's not a great story IMO. still get's 5 stars though...lol

5 paragraphs into the next chapter and you helped me define my problem with manipulation I couldn't in my previous comment. Manipulation that pulls you out of your comfort zone and or 'nudges' you into a new way of thinking or being, I'm ok with it's apart of life in general whether we realize it or not, everyone influences everyone else. It's the 'pushing' or more forceful kind of manipulation that I dislike. Pixie in this chapter has been just on the pushing side more than the nudging side of her manipulation of Doug and if I read the hints correctly of Joy as well. I know it comes from a place of love but for me personally it was just a tad to "forceful" for me. still 5 stars though
