Well happy birthday to me! Been a fan of your writing since in first found Iron Rain a number of years ago now. So glad you still share with us what you put down in words. Looking forward to the next chapter
uh ... wut?
i get he was hacked and had a conversation but ... that scenery, man. left field. waaaay outta left field. and yet ... you still somehow tied it all together. no clue how, but maybe i'll figure that out in another dozen or so years. still, good story that i'm really enjoying. cheers.
I was worried that the subplot of Booker's near-death and cloning might be hard to pull off cleanly. This echo of my universe sees Nick as an anti-hero of sorts. Sure he did wonderful things, but in the end, his motivations are called into question. Hope you enjoyed it otherwise. LB
Well that explains a lot. AI wonder how much of this story you planned and how much was from the seat of your pants. I'm not sure how I feel to find the end to be just Nick as an AI trying to immigrate itself into a biologically clones version of himself. I suppose from what I've read so far I shouldn't be surprised. I guess I feel sad that it seems Nick couldn't be redeemed for find redemption. I give it 5 stars. Only you could have put this madness you created and piece it together.
If this was the Ending, it would have been great. An actual ending that made at least some sense.
