enjoying the story so far but the chapter seem a little to short this one could have gone on a bit.

...this was like you had five minutes to fill. In fact, that's just what it's like - filler.

But we're probably prepared to tolerate one slip.

"sausage" line being predictable, another well written - but short - chapter. love this family!! And an aunt named Cherry. what's better than that!

How about ‘expected’ or ‘awaited’? Cherry and Pearl, perhaps like real people you might meet anywhere, are spontaneous in their banter and wit without concerning themselves so much about cliches. Here, they are playful and a more than a little caught up in the moment. MP2 ;-)
