Well! That was really nice, as always. I'm glad this one turned out a little more gentle as well - it's grey and the messy kind of snowy here, and while 6 pages of moody tones would have worked incredibly well, I would have also had to dig myself out of that afterwards. So thank you! Thank your for writing, editing, and publishing this for us. I particularly loved the decision to transition this from their island paradise to normal life to sort of ground her eventual decision. Really hope to see you back here sooner rather than later, but that's just my impatience talking - I'd be daft to complain, given the stream of regular updates you've graced us with for quite a while now. I had a brilliant start to my day, even learned a new word (yes, estuary - for some strange reason this one didn't feature prominently in my language learning thus far...) - what more could anyone ask for :)

This story is probably the best story I have ever read on this forum. The "August" template draws you in straight away, and then hope is dashed and despair sets in; how will it end for Ari when all hope is gone? Hope is gone, but life has to go on. The resolution is glorious, heart-wrenching and utterly delightful; you shouldn't be crying for Ari as you read, but you do, and then you feel like standing on the chair and cheering when the love of her life comes to pass.

Stories, especially fantasies, should fill you with hope that the most outrageous and remote dreams can come true; "Sandcastles" does this, and in spades!

I did think this story was going in a different direction. For quite a lot of it I assumed Ari was ace. If anyone could manage to pull off a happy ending for an ace/gay couple on an erotica site it would be you. The fact it went in a more traditional direction doesn't stop it being one of my favourite stores here.

When I saw your story I consumed it with gusto. Loved your tale. And was glad I could see it from Ari's perspectieve. (so I could see her fall in love with the more outgoing type ;)) I really liked the scene where they go skinny dipping in the sea at night/evening. The hesitant reaction of Ari on Charley's soft advances is so relatable and it makes the story so much more beautiful and real. (Sometimes you just need a bit of time, to get your feelings, before giving yourself to the other) Loved that you played with bi and lesbian themes in the conservations, making it personnel, without falling into stereotypes. I will keep an eye out for next stories!

Seems like whenever your story summaries start with "Two childhood friends reunite" we can expect a masterpiece that is a study in love to the point of devotion. Although I slightly prefer that one, this was just as good. It was interesting to see the perspective of the one who is receiving the devotion. Forgive me for comparing these two stories this much since they follow such a theme but they are just so good. Looking forward to more from you.

Then do it all again the next year. We were 12 the last time we saw each other...and we never thought to exchange phone numbers or anything like that. I hadn't quite realized I liked girls at that point, but this was a fun little "what if" story for me.
