Just get the feeling the story is rushed and leaps over things. I am getting the feel of your writing though and not surprised as often at actions occuring without preamble.

Not a bad story, but not as good as Lost Empire.

to the next chapter. Does SHEILA become human or Dr. Gance become a borg? The growth and changes are fascinating. I also like this story for what might happen in the future. That is, I hope there is more.
