I can't help but realise how your female characters, at least those who end up sleeping with the main one, are all very similar in your stories. Maybe adding someone who doesn't jump at "him" at second sight would add to your writing.

I find Shepard and "Ed's" series to be completely failing to suspend any disbelief whatsoever. Reliance on impossible situations and tired erotic crutches like massive cocks and unbelievable mastery of every possible subject makes them completely disappointing. I'm not implying ALL of your work is unenjoyable and you are clearly a skilled writer. But this, now this is something that really presents some interesting and believable characters. I'd SO LOVE to see more of this and less of the others. jahoo

A well written story, characters developed very well, the story flows, doesn't stutter or stumble along like so many stories that desperately try to string together sex scenes, this can be read without the sex scenes just as enjoyably as with them.

Your cycling was realistic, your relationships were, well, beliievable for erotica, but your France— not so much. The fluency every French person had in English was not as realistic. I’ve lived in Geneva and travelled in France, and the number of people who don’t speak English far exceeds those who do.

That said, it was still a fun, well-written story. I was bored by some of the cycling stuff,but that’s because I’m not a cyclist. If you had the same amount of writing only about football (soccer), I’d have loved it. 5*****

While not every Canadian is a fluent French speaker, it's not like that's unusual.

It might not explain it in every case, but maybe the author just didn't bother to tell us what language was being spoken from conversation to conversation. Or maybe writing in 'subtitled' French didn't add enough to the story to make up for the effort it would have required.

@GoesGrunt While the protagonist is Canadian, he made a point of mentioning where in Canada he is from. While French is the primary language of Quebec, Kyle is from British Columbia. Geographically, it would be like if people in Michigan spoke French, wondering why someone from California didn't. While he certainly may have been taught French as a second language in school, as someone who was conversant in French as a teenager but couldn't speak a lick by my early 20s, it does not at all surprise me that his French would be bad now.

Thank you for this story, it was very theraputic. As someone who was in a nasty relationship with someone very much like Gwen a few years ago, it was helpful for me to see that there are other people like that (as I can only assume you've met at least one of them yourself). The fast slide from seemingly loving girlfriend to psycho stalker was particularly jarring. While I didn't come out of it nearly as well as Kyle did, at least now I know I'm not the only one who attracts stalkers.

So, I'm from the 'burbs of Vancouver, and was a cyclist as a teen. Summer training (I was a skier) I used to go to Kitsilano Beach every day, cycling there by way of Burnaby Mountain/SFU ... mainly because it was such a fun ride down. Had a customised racing bike, and in my highest gear i couldnt pedal fast enough ... as i passed cars heading down. Two guys on my ski team were stopped by the police for "excessive speed" ... it was AWESOME!

- for reference, Terry Fox, the one-legged cancer vuctim who ran half-way across Canada, also went to SFU, but he used to do the hill on his weheelchair, inspiring Rick Hansen to go around the world on his.

This story is amazing! It's a little over-the-top, what with Kyle's 'magic dick' and the excessive drama, but it's always interesting and even exciting at times. Kyle is very self-aware and well-spoken. He's a bit of a push-over at times, but at least he isn't constantly looking down on others, preaching and trying to control others' lives and tell them what's best for them all the time like Ben Shepherd.

Gwen seems to be a bit like a mini Amanda Turd.... it's good he kicked her ass to the curb!

For future reference, nobody from England would say they are from "London, England" (or "Birmingham, England" etc.), just as no French person would say that they are from "Paris, France".

It would always be "I'm from London"; "I'm from Paris" etc.

Despite a peppering of spelling and grammar mistakes, and rather dreadful misuse of English throughout, I did rather LIKE this pert and perky, amusing cheesy little tongue-in-cheek tale! The author DID happily strike just the right balance for me, of poking a little ridicule, going sufficiently over the top for it to be comic, without going so far as to farcically absurd, unfunny , degrading or insulting! So, -well done! Thanks! 5-star!
