slowing down?

the detail and exciting activities are slowing down, but the transition to the later more raucous activities is both necessary and tantalizing... Well done...

Inconsitencies

Hard to write a multi-chapter story without some. In this chapter Steve hadn't yet talked to Jane about her having a baby, yet in a previous chapter she had supposedly said she wanted to be an aunt, not a mother.
