Was so excited to see you had posted! Thank you for keeping the story going, all I kept thinking about was....what happened in the end? I really enjoyed this chapter and as usual you'd have taken it in a different direction. I know other readers were hard on Alana but I have always been sympathetic to her cause as she has had to adapt so much. Her continuning mistakes make for a more refreshing read than most. I wish Kalen could be a bit more open with his feelings for her. There was bound to be a backlash from the baby saga, poor Alana. Will she make it home, is she already home, will she survive? Please continue the wait is excruciating! Regards. M

I thought the Alana was trying to escape back to earth from the last chapter and now she planned a pregnancy. I wonder who will find the proper medical help for her Kalen or Brint.

She STILL pisses me off!!

Alana pisses me off but don't kill her!! Kalen loves her!!

She can't stay. The weather will kill her. Hopefully she can get proper medical care.

She can't go either she killed a well respected alien on the ship bringing her there she and Kalen had to make a run for it remember, plus we also know that other planets would treat her worse than the last planet she was on. She is better of with Kalen he loves her and will do what ever he can to keep her alive!

I agree for her to be with Kalen. But it is proving to be impossible. They don't 'do' medical care on his planet. She will continue to get sick. Too bloody cold! There's a reason, there are no other Human Slaves on his planet. [o.t.- did anyone else wonder about the "filling the quota Human slaves"?

I don't know why people are ticked at Alana. She's had a bum rap from the beginning. Kalen forced himself on her. Kalen treated her disgustingly on the trip to his planet, which I have to ignore to like him in the least. I don't blame her for her fling. At least she chose that one. Now she loves Kalen, but she's still a "slave." He hasn't offered her freedom or to return her home where she'd be safe and the elements wouldn't kill her. He did choose to sleep with his wife instead of just lending his sperm. Alana has a lot to deal with! I'm Team Alana. lol I am curious about her new alien behavior. I'm thinking the illness transformed her somehow, even though she's sick again.

The idea that her illness was actually her transforming maybe her internal organs are more like their females now so that she could carry his child. Mmm what do you think Alice..possible solution to the birthing problem!

I can't wait to see how this pregnancy plays out. I do like the idea of her changing with the illnesses that have set in. Its one option to take. I hope those two can find a good balance. Keep up the great work.

Alana pissed people off I think

"She wiped herself down as best she could, watching as Neekesh pressed his lips to Yrin's. The two men kissing made Alana's thighs clench. She was suddenly wishing that she was pressed between them, all thoughts of illness gone."

She is acting like a slut.

No surprise there if you have'been reading every word in the story you would've seen that kind of though that ran through her mind.

If she is not a slut then why does the writer put this kind of though in her head is beyond me. I mean what's the point with that? That...she is turn on by two man making out and want a gang bang?

Surprised me that she and Brit doesn't have sex, are they both playing hard to get?

But wait Kalan is not back yet.

I agree with some one about filling slave thing and still many questions haven't been answered.

Other then the above the story is good, but it can get better if the writer stop putting strange sex though with other man in her head...while Kalan is trying to get over her betray with the general e.t.c

If she want to become swinger or get gang bang just come clean and say it for heaven sake!!

As the author, I don't like to write back to specific comments; I would hate to alienate a single reader because of my personality, as opposed to the content of my story. However, I can't help but address some comments made by anonymous below.

I am a great believer in everyone being entitled to their opinion. I absoloutely love that my characters have sparked two very different camps of opinion; there is no higher praise than being told you have managed to create characters realistic enough for people to either love them, or get mad at them.

Having said that, anonymous below made specific comments about my intentions regarding the character of Alana. I would like to clarify my intentions. Alana, as a character, was never intended to be particularly wise, yet she is - whether we like it or not - representative of the contradictory nature of the human personality. In regards to her sexuality, I would never condem her as a 'slut'. With regards to the specific quotation below, I am sure many people have seen two people kissing and wished for a moment they could get in on the action. This doesn't make Alana a bad person, at least not in my eyes. It doesn't matter how happy you are in a relationship, thoughts will stray. Alana didn't act on anything, and purposefully tried to hide her reaction.

Wether Alana is in a relationship or not it certainly open for debate. Since anonymous below seems to consider Alana as in a relationship with Kalen, then I can happily state that she has continued to remain faithful. Looking, thinking, and momentary fantasies don't make someone desperate for some 'swinging' action.

To all of my readers, thanks for the continued support. Alana will continue to piss people off, that is who she is. Saying that, so will Kalen. If you get a chance to read my new series, I can promise the characters, whilst entirely different, will continue to be utterly frustrating. It's just how we roll.

I was looking for smut and got caught up in the romance of this sci-fi, I love it! I'm especially intrigued by this warrior family's dynamic with each other and I can't wait to read how it all plays out. I really want Alana to have this baby, too--- if only so I can find out what a successful mix of the two races might be like. And Kalen having two babies to play with by the fire in the evenings, is an adorable thought.

This is chapter 14, and you still don't know who Alana is? That's her character, she does stupid shit, however, we watch as she slowly recognizes her actions and learn from the mistake or stick to her foolish decision. I liked the story and I'm also on team Alana, keep writing Alice.

Great. Story I too want Alana to survive and have this baby. I love the series despite it being sci-fi. It's a great read and can't wait for more also love the priestess story To. I'm totally team Alice: -) keep up the good work

While it may have been stupid for Alana to become pregnant knowing the risks, it's also understandable. Her child was aborted by treachery. Many women who lose a child find a need to become pregnant again as quickly as possible.They have a need to replace what they lost and also to reassure themselves that their body does function properly because many have a secret fear that they are defective and that's the real reason for the miscarriage. Alana's case is complicated by Olive becoming pregnant with Kalen's child, something she has been told is not possible but she wishes desperately for. She wants to be the one to give the man she loves a child. She may not be very bright, but she is in love, and she is only human.

I usually just read one series and go on to the next without comment BUT I have to say this is one of the best pieces I have read online period. I love how complex

the characters play off each other's emotions, fear, longing, with the ever present

miscommunication that makes these two so star-crossed in the first place. She's

silly and impulsive, he's domineering and unintentionally brutal but they manage to fall in love anyway. I can't wait for chapter 15!
