Finally, she nodded ever so slightly and stood up. Reflexively, I got up, too. I looked away from her awkwardly as she found her shirt and put it on.
She hugged me and even though the gesture repulsed me, I managed to not reject her.
"I understand now. I finally understand. Martin... I... I'm just so sorry. I will always love you and I will always think about what we could have had."
I just nodded. Nothing else needed to be said. It was finally over.
"Have a good life, Martin Becker. I love you."
Again, I just nodded before she turned around, left my apartment and my life, for the third and last time. I was glad she had visited me; it had given me closure. It was time to rebuild the last missing aspect of my life. Time to be happy again.

I can see from a female perspective maybe feeling more intimacy but I just don’t get how you can fall in love so fast, especially when drinking and drugs are involved… I don’t even feel bad for the MC lol. He dodged a serious bullet
