A great short story from the expert. I thought Gena's full explanation of her life was too full on as she'd just become re-acquainted with Ricky but you needed to press on into the story. Always amazed at how much you can pack into your stories. All told, an excellent story, thank you.

Many other places this story could have gone. Enjoyed where it went and enjoyed where some of your story took me in addition.

A sweet story

My Gena (Miss Cranbrook) was only 6 years older, but remained a fantasy. A very nice, but frustrating fantasy. Thanks for fleshing it out (as it were).

Sweet story, but one correction:

Public school teachers in Illinois reach full retirement at 35 years of service. So, he’d be retired at 58.

I have no problem imagining something very much like this actually happening. Circumstances often don’t allow a May/December couple to make a life together, but that doesn’t in any way diminish the genuineness of their love. At least occasionally, things can work out and they spend the rest of their lives HEA. Bravo, and 5 stars.

Great story, as always. It shows age is just a number. A twenty-one year difference isn't really all that much. In the past quite often the husband would be that much older than the wife and nobody thought much about it. Why should it be any different than the other way around, if both parties are in agreement. My wife is older than me though not quite as much as this couple.
