All the good authors I read, keep notes. That way, you can always refer to them and see if you've forgotten something, or added something else. Of course, if the character is a 'bit player', then they don't need lots of description. Even then, I've got a few novels written by big name authors that have some major continuity errors in them. And it never hurts to read over your previous work. Bonus for you: YOU can have the story taken down and reposted after you've made changes. And you get direct feedback, within days (if not hours), of posting. Some authors don't get to find out until weeks, or even months, after the novel has been published.
You have done a thorough job of describing the culture, (which seems to be based on Chinese society), but have done very little inclusion of elfin life, or culture.
At this point, I'm wondering, 'Why bother making your characters Elves?'

I just felt like it. I admit I could've told this story with a different type of people but I just felt l like elves.
