Considering how bad ass you made alexai appear in the begining he's really cheesy now and lost that vampire ramonav edge. seems so lame how easily he succumbs to everything happening seems out of character. I mean andrei you make sound fun and nors intense and caring but alexai you've turned into a cornball. cedars way more fiesty and makes him seem like her bitch I'm all for him falling in love and caring for her but you just make him so cheesy and kinda ruined alexai for me ughh just my opinion though

You know you are the best, do I really need to say it again? No? Well you are!! This chapter was fantastic. I love the way the wolf gene mixed with the vampire makes Alexei all messed up for her. It is nice to see this other side of him when we know what he can be like. Can't wait for the next one!!!

Wow! This chapter took me through a wide range of emotions. I found myself crying in parts while joyous in others, as well as experiencing fury and shock, but overall it left me with a sense of such contentment that it is hard to put to words, so bear with me. I find that each one of your chapters seems to continue to restore my faith in unconditional, if sometimes insane, love. It is my belief that if someone can put such happiness, joy and pleasure into words, which you do so well, that it must exist out here in the real world. Your stories are (I believe) essential reading for anyone who believes in the existence of that perfect soul mate. I am yet again left wanting, thanks Jaz

i loved this chapter *grins impishly* even without Nors in it... i am glad Aaron came around and realized he was wrong, when he said what he did, i wanted to smack him upside the head..lol it was also cute how Alexei reacted about the wolf gene and i can't wait to find out how Andrei reacts. *giggles* Excellent chapter hun, keep up the excellent work.

It took a few minutes before I could actually find my way to commenting, you had me choke up at the meeting at Cedars pain, then if fits of laughter when Aaron and Alexei got together. All I can say is bloody brilliant as usual you always keep us guessing.

BTW I wanted to give Cedar's brother a huge hug for being there for her and telling the other two what he thought of the way they acted.

If you go back and re-read from the beginning when the twins were introduced you will find that Alexai's character was and is constantly changing and all because of his mate! I don't find any of Jaz's characters to be cheesy.... Alexai is a bad ass vamp in love with a wolf who has infected him with her gene and when he discovered he loved her he realized couldn't complete the mating ritual which really upset him... That is a lot to deal with and I think Jaz did a marvelous job of conveying all his eratic emotions to paper!

So here I am trying to think of something to say that hasn't been said and I am simply not that clever. As a result all I can come up with is that your brain must be a very sexy place that I would love to invaid.

I love this couple, almost as much as I love the other wonder twin couple. It was beautiful the way they admitted their love and commitment. Alexei was classic trying to figure out how to get Aaron while not hurting Cedar.

But, most excellent Jaz, you've just introduced a whammy--vampires with both wolven and vampiric natures! This would seem to open up a whole new world but I'm not sure it's not already open. I find it hard to believe that in all the history of Vampires and Weres that there has never been a Were/Vamp mating and I know the proof is out there. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a vamp baby out there either, since they're not the "living dead", just not human.

Great chapter, J, now bring back my Loretta and Andrei, woman!

Remember, you still have a contractural obligation to submit 2 more chapters before you leave, ya know. Yeah, I said it--since you felt the need to broadcast my anxiety to the world, I feel the need to remind you of your promise. LOL!

I really enjoyed this. The different reactions of Cedar's brothers were great, and I liked how both Aaron and Alexei struggled to contain themselves so as not to hurt her. And Alexei fixing the cabinet was a great touch.

Once again you give a surprise turn of event for Alexei's characters due to the mating ritual.

What will you write for The Cold and Strong Andrei or The Great Nors hmmm? Cant wait for the next posting.

This chapter was filled w/ so much emotion. From friendship, family feuds, mate protecting mate, family members stepping up, ect. And finally not only the statement of love but the actual making of love. You somehow crammed it all into 4 pages. You also let gave us a sneak peek into the problems that Andre is encountering.......Jaz your ability to keep this story alive is just amazing......

As Mokkelke said, this chapter has been a bit of a roller-coaster. Alexei's need to destroy the source of his mate's pain while not being able to do same without causing pain probably did more to save Aaron's life than one cares to think about.<br />

I'm very glad that Rafe took the news well, though I guess I shouldn't be surprised given that his sister is a vamp.<br />

Currently I'm wondering what compromise the council could come up with that suits the general vampire need to teach a lesson while not actually really harming the pack. Vampires? Compromise? Hmmm...<br />

I love you writing style. I cannot say it enough. The way you stir our emotions and make us adore the characters is amazing. Talk about skill.

The scene at the compound when Cedar was arguing with her brothers had me sitting on edge. I was worried that you were going to have her leave her pack. Then she verbalized by fear and I couldn't help my feet from tapping with anxiety. Thank goodness Aaron was willing to made amends.

The mental conversation with the twins was a nice way to get Andrei into the story so we could get a glimpse of what he was dealing with. Knowing that Daniel is trying to encourage the vamps into retaliation is unnerving.

What a great feeling the ending left us with. It was more than a warm fuzzy. It was so touching. First he was going to kill Aaron for making his mate cry to have Cedar explain it was happy tears. The poor guy is so out of his element not having allowed himself to get emotionally involved with anyone before. Then the romantic ending was sweet. They admitted to loving each other.

I love this story line and hate the idea that you will end it someday. Believe me when I say that you could write about her characters until the end of time and I still wouldn't get enough.

Got up this morning and read all the comments, first anon Alexei is no soppy bitch he is trying to come to terms with all these new emotions he has been around for ever and has never felt like this so cut him some slack.

Second if Daniel starts anything I am sure that not only Andrei would sort him out but also Caleb,Demeti,Alexei and Nors and I don't think that even he is stupid enough to go up against so many ancients. I agree that one of the reasons Rafe was so understanding is that his sister is a vamp but also what Cedar said probably made him think, aswell as when Jared asked him if he would still see Lacey as his mate even if she hadn't bitten him. Ok I'm done next chapter please!

I love my weekly "Jaz" fix - problem is that it that it often leads to a few lost hours while I reread or just explore for more stories. I now finally understand what my mother meant when she talked about chilhood memories of waiting with her siblings crowded around the radio for the next installment of the weekly serial (so that's 2 gifts you given me, a better insight to my mother & a great story)

Surely nobody thinks the twins are emotionless? Love for your twin is an emotion, so is loyalty to friends & acceptance of obligation to governance. This is part of the storyline is just a delightful & well crafted exploration of 'rejoining' society (I'd say humanity - but that's got nothing to do with this story).

Another delicious addition to this enthralling tale Jaz - you are a gifted storyteller & as usual I'm looking forward to your next post. It must nearly be time to hear from Rhianon & Caleb again! Don't think I'm doing anything other than hoping wishfully.

I love the different layers and complexities you bring with your characters and I had totally forgot about the added imbalance that the wolf gene will give the Alexei's behavior and am grateful that you brought it to the table... it makes for a whole lot of fun as the story progresses.

Glad you kept this one solely on Cedar as her brothers play a major role in her life and the attitudes they bring. Gotta love Brody!!! (Can't wait for his story????)

Another great chapter. It was nice to see some old favs. The reactions in the meeting were disappointingly cruel but they served the pupose of upsetting things enough to cause the conflict between Aaron and Alexei. I liked the whole idea of bringing to light the changes that the wolf-gene would cause in the vamps. I liked the confrontation between Alexei and Aaron. I did think that you underplayed the vampiric side by saying it would helped him become rational. The vampires were shown to be more out of control than the wolves once their true 'feral' nature came out so thinking that side was the logical side helping him deal with the wolf part that was out of control with the need to protect her was hard to believe. i would think the two sides would compliment each other making them more unstoppable when angry maybe. I thought the way Alexei and Aaron ended up taking to each other was well done and very cute at times. I love that the guys are just so totally in love with the girls. I was disappointed that you didn't really bring Loretta into the meeting as much...I think the other Betas should have had more of a reaction too. Poor Cedar took the whole brunt. Well, I saw the next chapter is out so on to that! You keep bringing out more aspects of the story which I can't wait to see played out. thanks jaz!

I'm re-reading the series and still had to comment. When Alexei appeared at their sides when Cedar was crying over making up with Aaron, thinking he'd hurt her again, telling Aaron "I warned you what would happen if you hurt her again!" Just visualizing Alexei reaching for Aaron...Jesus, that made me laugh so hard.
