Problem with story

I received three feedbacks saying they were unable to vote and that the story ended at the birthday party. I just checked and the story is three Lit pages long. If you did not read the whole story, please try again. For voting, you now click on the number of stars requested.

Thank you

Now matter how silly it is, sometimes,,, If

you're able to make me giggle a bit, that's what counts.

I know you, the author spent many hours thinking and cranking out the story. But I also invested some of my "quality" time reading it, too. And, indeed, that's what you want people to do with your stories: spend some time and read them. So... no matter how stupid, good, romantic, realistic or unrealistic a story is, if I am able to stick with it all the way through and find some funny lines, then it is "worth" my time.... and yours...

+++++++++++++++++++

If you're ever in our neighborhood and you see a slightly overweight couple walking and pushing a stroller with a beautiful baby boy in it, it's probably us. If there is a sweet little girl riding her bike along side of us, holding onto a leash with a little brown dog, then it is surely us.

In closing I would like to say that I knew I wasn't God's gift to women. Mary knew she wasn't God's gift to men. We both knew we were God's gift to each other.

Beautiful

I loved it!

It's really great to read a story when the man and the woman don't have perfect bodies. These characters seemed very real. Thank you for sharing this one!

I love that you write about ordinary people.

Heartwarming!!!

DG, thanks for the email! I checked again this morning and found that I can now download the story in its entirety. Yes, a truly excellent story with great character development and an interesting, heartwarming plot. You certainly caught life as it really is in this beautiful, romantic tale and made this old man feel so warm and happy. Good luck with the competition! Pete.

Incredibly Sweet...

and yet realistic. A romance between two real people. Bravo!

A sorta fairytale...

Ya, that's what I felt reading your happily ended story. I love that the characters are all realistic and true to life--imperfected and yet perfect in their own way.

It's just so hard to find someone who's willing to look past your flaws and love you for who you are. Great story, I loved it.

Another well written and sweet romance from a master! Only DG would try to make an IRS agent loveable.

Very Very Nice Story,

I like a sweet romance once in a while, because I think most of us if we were honest would agree we would like to be with our soul mate. This is one of those gems in the rough. Well done DG Hear.

Wonderful story.

I am not overweight, actually in good shape. However my fiance is what most people would consider fat. I love her so much that the way I judge a woman's looks anymore is "the more she looks like Tracy, the hotter she is". Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder, and I love to behold my honey.

CAN'T SAY I'VE READ BETTER....

Almost too good. Why can't we see people who are devoted to one another and the commitment they make to one another more often? Reading about cheap, cheating, piece of shit sluts just doesn't do it for me.

Fantastic

Lovely story .. it’s not all about beautiful people and fantastic sex ... most of the population are average and life goes on

Sorry

I didn't get past the first page to be honest so won't influence the vote. I already had the air-violin out doing the meu meu noises whilst Waldorf and Statler were commenting on how pitiful and what a waste of airtime this self-absorbed guy was. You've done so much better...

AnonymousAnonymousover 3 years ago
A GREAT REMINDER

...that most people are average.

And not like the descriptions in so many Literotica stories of the hottest, most gorgeous, sexy woman at the bar/party/restaurant/dance club -- descriptions which I've read so many hundreds of times that I now often skip or scan since I know it's going to be one more description of the hottest woman.

I would guess that hotness and sexiness are not required for love, romance and enjoying the other person. I can think of two couples I met who did not fit the "beautiful people" ideal -- one couple because of looks, the other couple because of odd behavior. My very short acquaintance with each couple indicated a strong like for each other and desire to be together.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ to DGHear for capturing some of the romance and magic of ordinary life.

The important point is NOT how third parties see us with our faults but how each partner in the couple sees EACH OTHER. Third parties have their own faults themselves but it does not matter to them what we think of them. They are themselves happy and that is all that counts.

There is a far greater number of ordinary people than the number of outstanding people. And this number of outstanding people can be reduced as well since a large number will not depend on their skin deep quality only; a great number of people have special gifts like brain power. In the long run, people soon discover what is important: being happy and comfortable with oneself and be in love with our special person and companion in life, sharing hopes, good and bad times and plowing through life.. That is why kids have such great openness and why they can come to ordinary people without preconceived ideas and just enjoy the company; they feel the love and sighs, NOT the size.

Thanks for bringing this out in this very sweet story

5*
