All Comments on 'The End of Things Ch. 16: Submission'

It's not really relevant to your actual story but the final paragraphs (Peter's holy rantings---this is God's justified doing) made me think of the 1984 fire in York Minster. It happened only two days after the consecration of David Jenkins as Archbishop of York (sometimes known as the 'atheist' archbishop). The religious theorists immediately began a clamour that this was God's punishment for the appointment of Dr Jenkins; their beliefs were only strengthened when the Fire Service said the fire was most likely caused by a lightning strike (sent by God, who else?). Now as then, the religious fanatics will seize on almost anything to strengthen their case.

Another strong chapter in a wonderfully readable story, Pixie. Long may your talents flourish!

As is so often the case, your writing is deliberately thought provoking and erotic; not additive in the sense of independent notions, rather (and better) integrated — one serves the other. So, you have me thinking about love as well as love and sex.

Falling in love: I want to see you satisfied and happy, and that is what satisfies me. Succinctly captures essence of love. And you also capture a feature of love when Bella defines a submissive dominant as someone who is happiest when giving others pleasure because they have no choice but to let you. Not necessarily a “who” (type of person in a relationship) but also a feature of a loving relationship. Now, if we all could learn that truth; better yet, submit to that truth.

Love and sex: Hypatia asks a thought provoking question — can you love and there be no sex? Conversely, can you have sex and there be no love? Answers may be straightforward or not. And as I observed, your erotic writing is integrative — the erotic is revealing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What is dominance, what is submission? Why is it an enigma for most that one can be submissive in dominance and dominant in submission?

God knows, and I mean this literally. God knows what it means to give so you shall receive or to lose your life so you can find your life.

Simpleminded creatures, mostly of the male persuasion, didn't get that. Once submissive, always submissive, they thought. Therefore they failed in their quest of dominating a worthy woman like Hypatia. Men, from ancient times to this day, have failed in their foolish ambition to conquer and dominate people or countries.

Darling Pixie, you solve the enigma by showing us plainly through Carwen what it means to be a submissive dominant. The key is, as ever, the power of love and not the love of power. Lucky is the woman who shares the gifts of your domination and of your submission. They are the same.

Long way no end for Carwen ..... And storm clauds already in eyesight ...... The message was truly not a milestone, the death of her beloved parents, yeah every daughter would be lucky to have such a extraordinary father even nowadays ...... Live and let die, the older we become the more die and this is getting harder each day

As others have stated, you do inspire thought in your stories. Which, I might add, explains why it is such a good story, well written.

As a mature person, who leans toward the Sapphic desires, your sex scenes are both erotic and arousing, even more so when it shows us just how a dominant personality can come from a person with a small stature. Love in all its disguises, can turn the purest soul into a quivering mess, the strongest of us into weak minions, and the weak and lost into powerful leaders on a march to glory.

your description of the weather or seasons shows me, as an author, just how well you research your stories, 'Bravo petit xx' too many of us, [me] take the easy way out and skip over such things, but to me, that was an important part of your story.

I fear for the Saxons, I feel a vengeful retribution is about to befall them over time.

Should have seen that coming....... Pixiehoff did a nice job of providing clues for Hypatia's curious indifference to Carwen's flirtatious advances without prematurely giving away the game. The reveal was satisfying, as was the reconciliation and consumation. It was all conveyed in a smart, sexy, and sensible manner. Sadly, it appears that the "great men" determined to save the world from themselves are going to cock everything up. Pixiehoff has once again left off at a critical point in the story (just like in Fabienne and June), leaving us in a state of rabid anticipation for the next chapter. Well played. 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
