A good story telling of the final collaring of a slave. I gave this story four stars because it only told the event from one point of view - the Master's. If it had included the slave's pov I would have given it five stars. Having said that, this is still a very good story.
I don't see what was gained. He dunked her multiple times proving he could, okay. She struggled every time which is a natural fear response. She never stopped struggling which shows there isn't a magical level of trusting him with her life. Since he didn't kill her and she didn't run screaming, is their bond supposed to be stronger? I'm just puzzled.
