It takes me back to several years ago, when I fell for a lesbian co-worker (I'm a straight guy). We became very good friends, even going out on a (platonic!) date. Now, she and her wife are friends with me and mine (both couples having met back around the time that my friend and I had our one date). Life can be funny, you know? Enjoying the story, and I'll keep an eye out for further chapters!

This is very engaging, like I'm sitting in the backseat with him on this ride. My only nitpick is ALL the ellipses... OMG... after almost every single paragraph and quite often several in each paragraph. They should be used far less as a way to end your sentences. It gets distracting after every one...
