Just wonderful. Some of the prose edged very near purple, but I guess that’s a Southern thing - magnolias and all.
Absolutely adored the ending. I despise neat little bows both on packages and in prose.
Very few folks in Belfast are familiar with the Irish language. The Proddies wouldn’t bear it and the Papists there haven’t spoken it in centuries. Belfast Catholics are a breed apart from their southern cousins. Unless of course someone from County Galway moved to Belfast - but who in bloody hell would do that!?!
And the proper term for the Irish language is simply “Irish”, or properly “Gaeilge”. Gaelic is the Scottish highland language.
