But not that one.
I have to say I thought she was going to "sacrifice" herself and go back to Pablo in an attempt to save him... good writing - thank you
Didn't see that coming! Great twist -- and opened up a box full of questions about Amber and Mark that I hope get answered.
Rough chapter. Betrayal is one of the worst horrors people visit on each other.
There had to be a complication, but this? Can't wait to see how it all turns out.
I knew she was not what she seemed. Just too perfect and adaptable. My thoughts were running more to her being a lure set to snare him specifically. Or the surviving daughter of a previous victim out to get revenge.
Not sure where it goes from here. Hard to imagine a happy ending but I would welcome a surprise.
I did not see that coming. Was waiting for something, but not that. I can't wait to find out where it goes from here.
DC--Well, You had me set up perfectly--sort of how Amber had Mark set up! I certainly did not see this plot twist coming. More proof that you are a very talented writer! I still enjoy happy endings, so I am still hoping for a "And they lived happily ever after", but I'm not nearly as convinced it will occur as I was before this chapter. Well done--bring on ch. 10!
There is nothing in previous chapters to contradict this twist. It still doesn't mean she hasn't fallen for him but is too afraid of his reaction to tell the truth. What I am having trouble with is where Lucy will fit into all of this. Maybe she grabbed Lucy during the negotiations?
Mostly I really trust DC not to give us an unhappy ending.
I thought the same thing as cliquegge, based on Amber's "no matter what... know that I love you". The actual twist caught me by surprise. I still suspect that, based on that comment of hers, there may still be a happy resolution. The truth about Samantha/Amber may be somewhere in between Pablo's version and the version that she has been telling Mark. Not so innocent, but not beyond redemption.
However it goes, I can't wait to find out.
I wondered what was wrong, but did not see that coming...maybe I am just blind and was hoping for a happy ending...will wait and see what new twist you give us!!!
hmmm where will this go?
Thanks for sharing on Lit.

Something had to happen to make it interesting... I wonder if Pablo was telling the truth. Where are her guns hidden? Was she in the know and planning from the beginning to have him eliminate Pablo? Is she really in love with him? That could complicate the next chapters. I am the black widow , but I love you..
But there are always 2 sides to every story. This twist doesn't mesh very well with the first 8 chapters, it will be interesting to see how you got this untangled.
The minute she said "..remember that i love you" I didn't want to finish the chapter...then she said it again.. oh! my heart...
Something tells me my plans to go grocery shopping just got delayed so I can feed my addiction.
Man this is like the 5th story in line that i wanted to end well but just screwed up just before everything was good. i am sticking till the end so pls dont let me down
Very disappointing turn of the events. Still hoping for the best.
Does he try and find her or is she going try and get to him?
I had suspcted that there was some sort of fly in the ointment simply because there so many chapters left to the tale. Those chapters had to contain more parts to the story. Now, what's he gonna do? Go home to make more stained glass art? Or find Samantha, and put her in jail along side Pablo? LP
Why would he flat out believe Pablo? I didn't seen any evidence that she was the real boss
Wow! What a twist in the tale! Very interesting plot. You are too good, man! Keep it up.
