it may have been a struggle to finish this one but you made another piece of literal art.

now we have Nick's bench, Omar's Tub and Summer's boots, i wonder what's going to be next on the list?

That scene with Lucas and Nathaniel – wow. I really felt the agony of his starvation and was moved by what Lucas did. You really have redeemed Lucas, even though I honestly never felt he was that bad to begin with.

I really liked the interpretations Summer has on all the different Siochan members, and it clearly shows she has become integrated into their world, not just fighting it. That helped strengthen the story a lot, especially when it came to the decision that needed to be made. Showed that even if there was animosity, they loved and respected each other.

I am not even going to comment on the ending, because it was very touching and artistically written. I just can’t believe it’s over and we won’t read any more on Summer and Nathaniel!

What a wonderful ending to an interesting story, there was a few little plots and back stories there in this story that I was hoping would play out but never expected the father/son scenario or the reasons why they choose to kill her in the first place - very nice surprise.

I know you struggled with this but you did such a wonderful job. I'm so glad they ended up together considering all the challenges - fathers, demigods ... cleverly done. And oh those boots LOL!!!

Now I can honestly say I liked the way this ended!!!! Bravo Jaz!!! And I didn't hate anyone in the end not even Kincaid when he prison shanked her!!!! Im snapping my fingers and giving you mad cudos babe!!!! True groupie love in full effect!!!!!! Im dropping the lawsuit.... for now!!

Although the real deal with Lucas totally gives me the wiggins. The thought of him and Summer is so... icky. I was prepared for brothers. But this... I hate to repeat myself but... ick. Lol! Nice work, though. Despite your love hate relationship with the story, no hating involved here. Looking forward to your next story.

Maybe I won't blow up the siochan now, maybe... :) I really like the fact that they were tasked with saving humanity and it was the lack of that very thing that almost proved to be their downfall. It would be hard not to develop a melancholy for the duty that they performed after being separated from the world they are trying to protect for so long. It seemed to me that the origins of the siochan were not the only revelations to the characters in this story. They learned that in order to truly love, you have to risk yourself as well. It seems so simple, yet hard to understand when you are the one putting up barriers to protect your heart. You did a good job in this story of describing the struggle to find one's way after they have lost their path. It is not always pretty, but life rarely is. Especially when you habor resentment for those you trusted most. It was nice to see Nathaniel start to heal at the end and let go of the past. All in all, there were some very worthwhile bits, but I couldn't relate to this story as well as some of your others. Clash of personality types with Nathaniel perhaps. But, you know what they say, never judge someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes. That way when they get mad at you, your a mile away and you have their shoes! :) But seriously, even if I don't agree with their actions, you did a remarkable job capturing the emotions of the characters with desriptive writing. It is always a pleasure to read your work.

Ah, Jaz, Jaz, Jaz, how I do love your endings. You make the reader sit back and sigh contently. It's a warm, fuzzy feeling that I get to carry around all day! Not many authors can do that, methinks. Now that this fix is sated for the moment, I won't put any thought into your next series. Because otherwise, the hunger would become too much.

Once again, bravo on an outstanding series (even if it did give you fits). You have a rabid fan right here. I don't if I'm groupie material, though. More of a stalker/lone wolf type of fan. I'll be waiting in the bushes, binoculars out and watching as you type out your next series!

Very appropriate, very happy ending/beginning!

I know you said you struggled with this, but it really is surprising given how good it is. I love the ending to the story. I think it was so great to see that she had the desired effect on the Siochan, letting them find their humanity again. It was so great to see the transformation in the men from the first meeting. I especially loved them all coming to Lucas about her unhappiness. I like that they chose to let her remember her time with them b/c she wouldn't have been the person she was without that time and the memories. I was surprised to find out Lucas was Nathaniel's father. That was a great turn and it made sense looking back at them. It bothered me alot that Lucas could sleep with her when she was the love of his son's life, but I guess I can see that he fell for her too and he wanted those moments to remember. Still, it wasn't the smartest move if he wanted his son to forgive him. I felt so many different emotions as the story was woven around these characters. I loved the whole premise of the story. There was so much creativity in this story. You always manage to throw in some great touches like Lucas' reason for letting them be okay in the sunlight b/c she is summer. The ending resolved every issue, tied up every thread so was very satisfying, so I will hope you have some difficulty with all your stories if they'll come out this great! :) Thanks again for another great read!!

This is by far my favorite story on this site. I love all of your stories but this one has captured my mind. I have been thinking about these two star-crossed lovers since the first time I read this story. This is the third time i am reading it! The only part I was semi blah about was that she was with Lucas. It would have served just as good in my book if she was with one of the others. I thought it was odd that Lucas would do that to his own son. Other than that I thought the story was beyonf fantastic! I cannot wait until the next chapter of The Council! That story also has me hooked!

The work you put into this story was worth it. You had me guessing thru the entire story. You caught me good w/not only Anton but the Lucas and Nathaniel connection. I was glad that the story ended with not only Nat and Summer together for eternity but also that Summer brought changes to everyone life that she touched. I couldn't stop reading. in fact I didn't I read the entire story today. This completes my reading all of your works. I eagerly await for more.

I am working my way through your stories in the order you posted them, and although I have enjoyed them all very much, I think this one is my favorite so far. I luved the way that you resolved everything, and wrapped up all the loose ends in a extremely satisfying conclusion.

I swore I was only going to read ONE chapter, to see whether I liked this storyline...only just seen it.

But no, once again I show absolutely no self discipline and read all chapters I can, despite the fact that it's a school day tomorrow and I have an early meeting. Waaaah! And I was in tears by the end (and can't forget the exceptionally hot moments).

Of all the stories I've read here, I seldom comment, though I should. This story should be a movie. It's the most original and creative I've seen in my opinion. So many stories involving vampires, werewolves, etc. are much the same, although enjoyable. I loved it to the very end. Thank you for such a great story. You're very talented and should go beyond just posting online.

I liked this tale. There were elements to this story that were very appealing indeed. I can certainly understand your fans loving this tale as much as they do. I think you're going to find that people respond very strongly to stories and situations where the theme is good vs evil. Lovely work. I cannot understand why you struggled so much with it, but for some reason, I do understand the actual struggle.

One small plot gap in this last chapter, though, concerning Summer's family--so in this altered history, what do they think happened? From their perspective, did Summer just disappear? Or was there enough blood still at the scene to make them believe something horrible happened? Would Summer really have been ok with them not knowing she was ok? Obviously, she couldn't have told them everything, but I have a hard time believing she would have walked away without looking back or at least saying goodbye.

Other than that, though, extremely compelling story! Thanks for the read!

I have to be honest I pondered on the most left field scenarios I could come up with, and "keeping it in the family" was actually something that crossed my mind. This is why my husband hates watching crime shows with me because I will try to come up with at least three endings in between commercials. More often than not I tend to be pretty close if not dead on. I suppose I just love being right. However, and I've said this before, it still doesn't take the sting away when you get slapped with it anyway.

I find it poetic justice that they all tried to use and manipulate her, and she ended up being in ultimate control of everyone without even having to lift a finger. Great job on this story.

This was a great story, but I very much dislike the fact that Lucas slept with Summer. I realize that Summer reminded him so much of his wife, but that's just too gross. It's basically incest. I think that this is probably my least favorite series from you. He knew that Summer was his sons soul mate, but I guess he didn't care

This was a wonderful story. In some aspect it did seem like God was discussing the actions of the world with His angles. I love that Summer and the love of her life got to be together in the end. I love all your work!!!!!!!!!

Summer has the ability to see glimpses of her future when she was human. This would be more complete if you explained why or is it because she is destined to be a Siochan?

I knew there was something between Lucas and Nathaniel but I never would have thought that they are father and son. I like surprises. I should have picked up the clue when Nathaniel said something about Summer having to choose Lucas. I knew that one within the Siochan is above than them but I never guessed who. I just expected that since most stories have that ^^

'Choice' is one of my favorite themes and I was pleased to see it here - other than Love and Forgiveness. 'Chaos' is a good thing too ^-^

I loved this storyline. Vampires and Were's are a little passe for me right now so I have been looking for new ideas or at least something different. This fit all my requirement and was an addictive read to boot. I thought the characters had depth and I did not see the plot twist coming. Yes it did have an " it was all a dream" type ending but this capability was introduced right from the begininning. It fit as it was a counterpart to Anton's point of stop overlooking the easy answers. I am totally satisfied and will prob give your vamp/ were storys a try. 5's from start to finish!

Lucas will always be a creep in my book. I don't care what he does to redeem himself in the end. Out of all the women he had to pick to scratch an itch, he picks the woman that his own son is in love with! So much for fatherly love...

Up to Tears chapter 12 and saw this and thoroughly enjoyed it. I agree with all on the point that Lucas always knew it was wrong to bed Summer but it all played out in the end and I got to say I love happy endings.

What a great story! I figured out the relationship, but the details of wrapping up the story were huge! It may be difficult for some people to accept, but all of their actions are pretty sound logically (even if other options were available).

I feel emotionally exhausted.

So what I gathered from this is the became day walkers with the gift from Lucas?

But we need more from this series.

I left The Síochán unfinished and only came back because I caught up to you on the FTI series and needed a "Jaz Fix"!

The story only really got good in the last 2-3 chapters, but then it became really good, although you did telegraph the father-son relationship rather outrageously!

The Síochán could have used an even lighter touch than Anton suggested. E.g. To prevent a particular descendant, all that would be necessary is to prevent one conception, either the descendant's, or anyone along the ancestry line. It wouldn't even matter if a sibling was born instead, as they would have a different gene set. The lightest touch would be to contracept the descendant, as that would be the least lives erased.

Mind you, I don't buy into the "balancing good and evil" idea. With less "evil" some technologies would be slower to develop, and humanity might be slightly less adventurous, but there'd still be progress and adventurers.

What a wonderful way to end their story. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading it! Please keep writing, I love your work!!!
