I can't believe I missed voting on this story for the contest. I liked it better than any of the winners. Reading it reminded me of Poe -- very well paced! I wondered how the transfer would take place. I guess the lack of any explicit statemeent of the power of the necklace & the bare mention of the gold chain draw the reader into the story more deeply. You handled what could have been a fairly predictable plot very skillfully. You certainly are a gifted writer. Yours faithful followers certainly look forward to your unfortunatley few stories -- at least recently on this site -- with great anticipation. Many thanks for another great read.

...the bit with the choker reminds me of a ghost story we used to tell as children, but the tale is still well written and creepy.
