It seems to have run out of steam. Unless you come up with some extremely novel idea, I think you should quit while you're ahead. Just adding more people won't cut it. The good stories are alive and vibrant--not on life support.

I think Chris needs to ask Kathy out for dinner and start a relationship with her. Elena can be side benefits.

Good solid chapter in what I hope you're consider carrying on as a series. (I tried to give the second episode four stars, but the system hiccoughed and wouldn't let me change it from three.)

I know it's been a few years since you wrote chapter 3, but this has been left in mid-air, it really needs another chapter (or two) to bring it to a satisfactory conclusion - or to a climax even !
