After 12 chapters is this the end? Nice gift from Doris, but no conclusions for anyone? What happens to everyone (epilogue?) Sean’s recovery, Kevin’s case, John’s disappearance, Robert and Lori, and Pauly’s homecoming date??? Just a few loose ends. Not to be petty, but after all the physical pain and trauma Sean endured at the hands of her grandsons, all he gets is $1000! That’s a full-ride case if I’ve seen one! Plus the little bomb dropped about Smith - does every gay-bashing bully have to be a closeted gay? Such an abrupt end to a well-written saga. Leaves us all hanging :(

To have an ear for how people really talk and to be able to utilize that skill is a great gift. I binge-read this because of that skill and the heartwarming story that was told. I, too want to hear about the homecoming dance and how these characters fare in the future. Please consider continuing this series.
