Excellent use of the cheating double standard! Roger had no problem with cheating but he could not stand the idea of his wife cheating on him. Bridget turned out to be the dense one representing all those women who expect the married man to leave his wife for them just because they start fucking that man.__________________________________

You managed to twist the obvious twist at the end. Like other before me here, I feel a tad sad for Bridget. But I was feeling sad for her in the first place. It wouldn't have taken her long to realize she had given up a queens life for that of a servant.

wife, well darling the nearest old age home is down the street. Go look for a guy about 70 or so, you will be hot enough for him and he wont be to worried about you fucking around. A very good story! Enjoyed it although I find it hard to image the two walking into the house expecting the spouses to be cheating and not having a plan. In all things, timing is essential. Why would a cheating slut ever expect the other cheating partner to marry them. Actually in real life I have never seen it happen, yes they may live together a bit until the luster is gone but marry? Never. Cheating sluts are fund to toy with but no man wants one for a wife.

HDK always pens stories one is the richer for having read and this one is no exception. Readers always get to know the characters in HDK's stories--we can see them in our mind as the story unfolds. Then there's that hook. He always drags us into the story and then sets the hook hard before reeling us in. LOL Keep 'em coming HDK.

Loved it, although, I confess toward the very end there, when Janice was saying she was not making an statements about the future relationships of the 2 couples, I sorta got an inkling of what was to come. Great ending anyway. Keep these kinds of stories coming.

Any story that makes me laugh out loud is more than worth the price of admission. What a treat it is to read an HDK offering. The twist at the end was nicely done but what really made the end for me was Roger's rejection of Bridgit and his nice comment about Chuck. It showed that Roger wasn't completely hopeless. The story has no complexity, subtlety, or sophistication. Now, if it were put under "Humor and Satire," I guess it'd be okay. When decent authors, even in Lit., started unabashedly, overglowingly, idiotically praising each other's work --- without more careful or critical reading --- it is unfortunate.<p>

While I will avoid TLee's wording, this story has little or no merit of any kind; it is at best a tired, cliched, surreal Perry Mason-type story in which the closing scene showed, in black and white, who the smart person is; who the dumb bitch is; who is the lucky and "real" trophe wife and how giddy she is; et.; ad nauseam.<p>

Humor me, if you want; but humorous, it ain't.

Obviously, it's an open story, there are no secrets about what is going on.. And only the one secret about what will occur later.. Bridget got something like she deserved but Roger definitely should recieve some punishment for his multiple adultery.. A shotgun blast to the ass from another cuckold?? A complete asskicking from same?? Something!! Chuck and Janice should be comparatively happy for the rest of their lives.

Very black humour. Someone in the end lose out big time - Bridget, and for a moment there I felt a teensy weensy bit sorry for her - well, it was only for a moment. Too bad Roger didn't get his comeuppance as well and got away scot free and on top of that gotten himself a brand new wife too. Gee! I was hoping that baby wasn't his but a bastard. Lol. It was not difficult to suspend disbelief here and there and be lured again by your brand of dry / tongue in chick humor (We certainly don't want to confuse the issue or have jealousy ruin a perfectly good divorce."). Why do I feel that I recognize Anon’s ‘handwriting’ (comment titled: “that’s silly”)? My only counter is that you are in a bad place, either as a writer or as a reader, if you need the directive that this is a “humorous story”. I am not crazy about gender casting, but if we can’t vent in comedies satires and parodies -even our own prejudices where could we do it? The same can’t be said about dead serious 40 year old quotes about “women” who are persecuted by “men” every where etc.

it was really good, where the spouses cheated on got the freedom, one gave 1/2 of their asstes to janice and the other went down a path of self deception. she was already for an end of her creation, with it all being a vision she alone had for the future. beautiful does not automatically equate to smart. she'll cheat on one, and another and so on.

the compliment to the husband was a nice touch to rub it in. a fun read.

Pretty damn close to 5 but needed depth of character development.

Money can always by sex, and money, unfortunately makes the world go round, not love. Women like Briget can always be bought. Roger is smarter than he's depicted in the story until the end.

You know, I guess Bridget didn't count on Roger's ego. In the end Roger got who he wanted, himself. Janice and Chuck are doing the happily ever after bit, and Bridget gets, well, Bridget gets.........nothing. Oh well.

It was easy to see Janice and Chuck getting together. But it was also easy to see that Bridget was going to be left to herself. Maybe she should have appreciated what she had had with Chuck. And Roger knocking up another woman...yeah, predictable as well. Don't get me wrong, the story is finely written. It is just that the entire ending was predictable. Good story. 4 stars.

The whole swap part was handled well, if painted in broad strokes. But after that, it started stretching credibility a bit. Why Roger balked at divorce initially, then seems to be in a hurry to get it done soon after is never really explained. It just seems like a plot point solely to mislead Bridget so she can take a pie to the face at the end.
