Click hereSix months later we had a celebration of sorts. We were together and happy again. That's not to say there weren't problems, some huge ones at the times but this time we talked about them and solved them. Do we have a storybook marriage? No, they don't exist. We have what every other happy couple has, a marriage that takes work in order to survive. And, fifteen years later, we're still working on it, but we're still happy.
I understand that Lisa grew over the years with a lot of therapy, but what made the kids suddenly welcome the MC with open arms, especially the two girls? I find it hard to believe that Faith became a new person in just a couple of months even with a good guy as a husband. She goes from not even wanting the MC to walk her down the aisle to loving and apologetic? Nope. Spoiled people just don't change that fast. Good story. I love the premise, just the execution isn't my favorite. This is a great writer though.
4 Sad Stars from GW on this one . I did not marry the Girl with 2 kids I make a decent living as a CPA . But unless it was tax time i usually have banker hours . I got sick and tired of being compared to Mike her first Husband . I did not show up for the wedding . My best friend Robert explained it to her . My ex boss told me to get it together with her or find another job . I am proud to say that living in Arizona agrees with Me .
You'd think that people with grown up children would themselves be grown up.
But I guess when you live in a country obsessed with infantilisation, growing up isn't easy.
A marriage is between two people, not three. Add in a wedding with a spoiled little girl and you have disaster on a stick! Thanks Slirpuff, second or third pass through.
