A story with soul!

I admit, I teared up about Page 8. You two got the human part right. Nice ending, too. I like green chile too, probably my favorite flavor next to chocolate.

It's just a really well told story, one of the best.

Incredibly captivating... from beginning to end

This story really is tremendous. On my first read, I didn't even realize Danny had damaged legs and was in a wheelchair until quite late in the story. I just figured he had low self-esteem due to some sort of heartbreak he'd experienced years ago. The fact that they couldn't see each other for a while due to the whole social distancing thing made the masturbation scene very unique, and very hot. Loved it! Of course, their picnic in the park followed by them having sexual intercourse... just wow. Again, I am still smiling ear to ear. :)

Corny, but really good

The reader knows Danny is disfigured from very early in this over-long tale, but not how Belle is going to find out. It's a little far-fetched that a beautiful young woman is going to saddle herself with someone as incapacitated as Danny, but that's what a fantasyland site it for. 4*

Just did something I don't do

I favorited this story.

I don't know how you know and understand what it is to be disabled, but you nailed it. The feelings of being "different", of not being "whole," of being unlovable and a "freak." Part of the story was formulaic, yet it wasn't. Some of it was predictable, but you were unpredictable in your predictability. I have no idea if that makes any sense, but thank you for a heart-wrenching (in a good way) two hours that I know I will repeat over and over.

This piece is not going to win any awards from the disabled

I understand what I think you're trying to accomplish but as a disabled person you want being sympathetic. You are patronizing

AnonymousAnonymousalmost 4 years ago
Written by someone who has no idea what it's like to be disabled

The white knighting by the fabled brother is so fking typical. I know all you typical folks love this story but it's condescending.

<b>"Written by someone who has no idea what it's like to be disabled"</b>

You're operating under some serious misassumptions.

SleeperyJimSleeperyJimalmost 4 years ago
@Gatsby1977 "This piece is not going to win any awards from the disabled"

As someone who has spent their whole life in a wheelchair, I can only assume that either you are just trolling in order to get some attention for a change, are assuming offence on behalf of someone else to get some attention for a change, or are actually disabled yourself and out to prove my assertion that being disabled doesn't prevent someone from also being a complete arsehole.

You make statements that make no sense, are just generally malcontent and yet really insulting at the same time. I helped edit this story, and there is nothing at all in this story that is outside the experience of a disabled person who actually has a life.

This is a very good story, written well and with empathy, but without being patronising in any way.

And if you think being in a wheelchair automatically excludes you from pulling and marrying beautiful women, I have news for you: it's not the wheelchair - it's you!

Amazing Story!

This story was fantastic!

I may not be disabled, but I can imagine the fear that could go through someone's mind that is, not because of the disability, but in the case the deformity. Those negative comments about being condescending to the disabled I think missed the whole problem that Danny had in the story. I see not the disability but the deformity that brought on his fears, pain, and anger that the deformity caused, but just as much the abandonment from his father, and the fear of being abandoned again. The comment about the brothers interference being predictable, sure, but it expanded the story to include a loving brother that was willing to risk being hated by Danny to show him how he was wrong in his fears, and to show him that he needed to take risks to find happiness again.

My favorite story so far, it also showed fears and isolation caused by the virus, and hope for a brighter future through kindness. It had very little erotica, but it didn't need it to be a great story.

Thanks

Stories that make you think, that give you a fresh and very different perspective, that torment you, making you think, "come on, come on, get it done," and, for a romantic, finally end just as you hoped it would, are very fulfilling. Your collaborations are very special. Thanks for writing.

A great story about isolation and disability when a pandemic has us all feeling those aspects in our altered lives! Circumstances can have most of us feeling damaged and "gray"! Wonderful to read how someone in an even more difficult situation has created a a complex network of work, friends, & family to assemble a worthwhile life--and then unexpectedly a new friendly neighbor adds a lot more sunshine to every day!

Best Story On Literotica

You two make a great story-telling team. Great story, great characters, good conflict, both internal and between your characters with the best resolution. Take out some of the swearing and you could release it mainstream.

I honestly expected something else.

I read a "collaborative Story" between you and MsCherylTerra and think/expected a Him/Her Storytelling type of Style.

It is meant as a compliment when I say, I couldn't make out who wrote what part.

I would've liked to read about, the family meeting, how it went Mark and Danny with Bella, maybe some reconciliation with the dad (if he's alive, didn't saw any mention of death).

anyways very nice story. looking forward to more work of you in collab with her?

AnonymousAnonymousalmost 4 years ago
Beautiful

This story was incredible! It was real, and natural. The story sucked me right on into the character’s life.

The dialogue felt uncontrived and your descriptions were woven so well within the story that they were a part of the canvas instead of ancillary as so many are. Just so you know, I actually laughed at loud at some of the lines written for the kids.

Also, as a member of the disability community, thank you. I’m fortunate in that mine are invisible, but the devastation when you have chemistry and start dating someone, opening up to them, only to have them let you know it’s just too much to take on is heart wrenching. Even though it’s fiction, it’s uplifting and hopeful to hear stories of acceptance.

Fun read.

One phrase was written so simply it made me laugh out loud:

"That girl had ears like... I don't know. Something with big ears."

Just one example of the easy-to-read prose throughout this great story.

thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU

What a wonderful, heart warming story. It took me almost a week to find it again on Literotica to re-read. I loved the fact that Danny and Bella really got to know each other's heart and soul before seeing pictures of each other or meeting in person. Setting it in a pandemic was a nice touch to bring it to today's reality.

I've been an obese person my entire life (weighed 143 lbs in the third grade) and have been judged my entire life before people get to know who I am at my heart and soul. My first two boyfriends and I met over a CB radio (I'm ancient) and we got to know each other very well before meeting in person. CB radio air time was free, while talking on the phone would have been long distance calling. Many a night I'd spend my time with them versus watching TV or doing something else instead. We met in real life maybe 18 months after first talking to them. It allowed us the opportunity to get to know each other very well before taking the 'meeting in person' step.

Thank you for such a great story and wonderful collaboration.

I was deeply touched as someone who feels disfigured, disgusting, unlovable, and doomed to be alone forever.
