I was never really tejmpted /

And I think neither was my wife. She was just so beautiful that I thought to myself: what would I do if someone seduced her. My answer to myself was "nothing"

Not sure about ghosts, but....

....I do believe in guardian angels. My wife died five years ago. We had great married sex, but she always felt sorry that I was a virgin before meeting her. She encouraged me to have affairs. (I never did -- she was the only woman I wanted.) I told her that she would have to pick out my "bed buddy" for me. After her death, my guardian angel wife did exactly that. She sent a beautiful woman 25 years my junior to fuck me and suck me for a year. There's no way that would have happened except by divine intervention. I also believe in reincarnation. See you soon, Angel!

Emotional and entertaining story!

I for one enjoyed your submitted tale of marital hiccups and forgiveness. I don't know but sometimes after trolling through story after story emphasising burn the bitch/bastard, greivous bodily harm or revenge a reader can get just a tad jaded about the worst aspects of human behaviour. Thankyou for reminding us that with love and forgiveness it is possible for partners to heal and survive.

A story of regret, love rekindled, and lessons passed on by two loving parents . . . much needed advice on life and marriage . . . shared with their son. . . one quiet evening in . . . the Twilight Zone.

Poignant and Powerful!

Extremely well-written and emotionally charged that totally touched my heart with the pain and sorrow for the parents! I was also touched by the forgiveness and reconciled love between husband and wife!

One of the most moving and superbly written stories on this site!!!

The Male psyche

Not many men can wrap their minds around the trauma of being on the receiving end of rape.

They have no concept of how vulnerable it is to be a woman

Oh damn, this be one heck of an excellent tear-jerker and I love it. Was Bobbie's crash 22 years after Evie's suicide was to join Evie? It would be wonderful if "Angels" like in this story appeared in time to prevent you from doing things in a moment that you bitterly regret for eternity.

Sad and wonderful story that brings tears to my eyes. Quite the twist. My only quibble is his wife was forced and she froze like a deer in a headlight, was ashamed, and told her husband asap. She was raped. What she didn't understand and felt ashamed about is why she froze and didn't fight back. She fled to her son and locked herself in the bathroom. The husband feels betrayed despite the fact that she was forced (see his own words when talking to the ghost of his father). I am glad they reconciled. Women who are (essentially the case here) raped and rejected by their husbands are at great risk of suicide. That was the warning in the vision / meeting he had with his father. On a personal note: my wife was raped about 18 months before I met her (married now 30 years). She never told her best friend or her parents about it until many years later. She shared with me a few months into dating. Was a powrful moment in our courtship. Was important for her to tell someone. Her rapist did it on their first date. The fucker came to her place to pick her up and made an excuse to come inside. Then surprised her and forced himself on her. He didn't verbally threaten her but forced himself on her despite her pleading to not do it at the start. My wife didn't scream or claw or fight back. When she relaized he would not stop, to survive, she simply tried to disengage from the act mentally and wait out the few minutes until her rapist ejaculated in her. And that is how she lost her virginity. Still makes me furious that someone would do that to my precious wife. She never went to the cops. Told no one, until me some 18 months later. Felt ashamed. And went to the clinic, making an excuse. I was the first person she told and she only told her sister and parents and best friend years later. She told our kids when they became old enough. A woman's reaction to rape varies dramatically from person to person. The MC's wife did not ask for it, was forced, froze, did not enjoy it, and told him about it apologizing. So she didn't say "no". And that makes her an adultress? I get that some men would be upset and confused, but even when she said it wasn't rape, as a loving husband you need to step back and realize that she did not cheat on him. Anyways the twist was amazing. Full circle. Feel terrible for his parents. His father waited too long and his mother fell into depression and committed suicide. The world can be a harsh place.

Really pleasant story. I am not a fan of the supernatural stuff, but this was an exception. 5 stars.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 year ago

It had it's good parts, but they were overshadowed by the way you had them view the rape. Yes, it was rape. Just because she froze instead of kicking and screaming doesn't change anything. They should have called the cops and reported it. I accept them getting back together since she wanted it, but he proved himself to be an asshole and she should have divorced him for her own safety and sanity.

Author kind of telegraphed where this one was going but somehow the scene at the bar still took me by surprise. Very poignant and moving story.

Nice one Johnny 5* BUT Charlie should be killed

AnonymousAnonymous9 months ago

So I like the story and the theme of breaking a sad loop. But 100% what happened to Mary Ann was rape. Her not fighting back doesn't make the act consensual. The reaction of a desire to scrub herself clean and beg her husband for forgiveness is very common for rape victims. Often victims try to rationalise what occured and will think they somehow invited the assault.

The husband is the one in the wrong here, he flies completely off the handle when his wife has been assaulted. What happened to Charlie is completely justified and what rapists deserve.

Calico75Calico755 months ago

Sweet, sad story. However, I think it was rape.

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

Wow this hit hard

Silence is NOT consent. Not fighting or struggling is NOT consent. By the law (in the UK) and by morals it was rape. Powerful and emotional story. I feel so sorry for his Dad. Hopefully the MC won't have such a guilt ridden life. Very well written story and yes it made me cry. BardnotBard

A day without sex is like, um, just kidding. I have no idea. I am judged by what I've done and haunted by what I didn't do. I write stories in an attempt to entertain. If it evokes hate filled or non-constructive comments then I smile while I delete them. I won’t have you...
