This is a very good series; however, I would have liked a little more character development. For example, what employment does the father and mother have? Since the marriage appears to be emotionally, romantically and sensually dead, could the mother support Ricky and herself? Unless the son is mentally and psychologically dead, he must realize how much his mother needs him. How much he makes her feel alive. He has recharged her self-image, self-worth, andher femininity.
