"Chris are you okay? Chris?"
I shook my head rapidly and tried to clear my mind. Alexandra was staring at me wide-eyed and reaching for a napkin to mop-up the puddle on the table. I was back at the patio bar and the last of my overturned beer was dripping into my lap. I could see Alex clearly now and I could finally understand what she was saying.
"Oh Chris. I'm so sorry. I think I bored you to sleep with all my stories. You were such a good listener, I didn't notice your eyes closing until it was too late. If you would like another drink, I'll buy. But I don't think either one of us needs any more. And I better get back to the room before my hubby wakes up. Thanks for the friendly ear, I really enjoyed it. Get some sleep. Sweet dreams."
And just like that she was gone.

Anonymousover 3 years agoActually read some litrerature and learn how to write a story. Books are your friend. Maybe one day you will not be garbage and clumsy at trying to make a story.
