"You look like you've just had 'a quickie' in the laundry room," I teased. "In other words, you look absolutely great."
She smiled and gave me a light kiss. "Thank you."
"I think I'm the one that should be thanking you," I said as I returned her kiss. The last thing I heard as I was leaving the room was the sound of her humming a baby's lullaby.
"Not so dumb after all," I thought, as I threw my suitcases in my car and headed back home.
