I was enjoying the story until it got to the part where she came down wearing the Rangers hat. Shivers scampered down my spine as I wondered what sort of depraved story I opened. Thankfully it soon became apparent that it was the Texas Rangers and not the evil NY Rangers.

I always enjoy your stories and this was another good one. Someone said “feel good” and that’s a great descriptor that I’ll reuse because that’s what I felt. The characters were very likable (except for DaVaun, of course, who seemed a bit caricaturish), and most of the situations in which they found themselves were quite lovely and romantic. Loved the ending, too. Thanks for your efforts and for sharing this story.

Great story, abrupt end

Really enjoyed the story, but the sudden fast forward and quick ending made me think "what just happened?"

Fantastic storey, but no real ending.

Loved the story, but there really isn't that much story in there. It's pretty much: Boy meets Girl, Boy gets Girl, and they all live happily ever after. I think I would have appreciated a few storm clouds before the spectacular sunset. Thanks for sharing your story with us.

You do write a great love story.

Is Derrick white? First described as "He was a huge very popular white boy" but then we are told "He had long, very curly hair, beautiful brown eyes and a strong, almost beautiful dark complexion. His skin was almost as dark as hers,..." Good story, doesn't matter either way, I'm a sucker for a love story.
