What if against her employment contract she got pregnant and had her viewers support her fight against the station to remain on-air? Interesting possibilities. This story lost me at the dinner scene.

Personally I'm not a fan of the "oh I'm so oppressed by my good looks" type person, but that is probably true to form for realism. However, no news anchor doesn't revel in her local celebrity a little bit.

Once she was aware he knew who he was she would probably become a bit standoffish and try to frame the interaction as "I'm above you". And if she viewed her celebrity as making her a target a few trite sentences about how he doesn't view her as a mark isn't going to make her buy it. If anything it is a "double bind" his direct "I don't like you because of celebrity" raises eybreows. Similar to how nothing sounds crazier than saying "I swear I'm not crazy". To me his two options are to tease her for having a big ego and assumimg the world around her or find a segue to a different frame and not engage. An example of what I mean by the latter is say your mom wants to talk about your sex life; instead of telling her what's going on you might be like " oh what wonderful whether we're having instead of dignifying it with a response.

You have talent and this was an interesting premise but the choreographing of dialogue misses human nature a little bit.

Well written and conceived. I enjoyed their repartee. Real and honest, it felt genuine and unforced. I liked it a lot and I would truly enjoy reading more about this couple.

As a Ford Mustang enthusiast I loved:

["Hey Mr. Mechanic? Is this a '67 Mustang?" she asked, as we navigated around.

"Good eye," I replied. "Yes. She's no Eleanor, but it's still a work in progress. It'll get there."]

I loved every bit of it, the mechanic and the famous tv star there is some hope for us mortals. Keep up the good work.
