At first I worried about a wimp out (which is still a possibility) but I wonder if Brents silence isn't somehow telling. To bad he couldn't have killed Mark in person, he should have at least stopped by the jail and thanked Cindy for handling his "light work."

I'm really enjoying it! Don't make us wait too long for chapter 3.

I love all the comment and feedback, both positive and negative. It's only a story and the idea is to get the reader interested. I realize not everyone that reads 'Loving Wives' feels the same.

I didn't really like the first chapter much, let's face it, she knows he hates the guy but sleeps with him anyway? Mad at him because he has a flat tire making him late to somewhere he didn't want to go in the first place?

The wife character is hard to like much, not much of a woman there.

There is usually no way to fix something like that. My reaction would have been severe but the author let someone else take care of half the problem.

The other half remains.

Of course just two options left, the DNA test. The child is...or isn't? One way is to recovery, the other means the story is over. Maybe, this author does some twists and turns from time to time.

Well written, enough that I am taking my laptop with me to Vegas, it seems I have my own story going on, danged if I didn't catch me a real one!. Thanks,

To answer a comment. This is a fairly long story. It would have been seven Lit pages and a lot of readers don't like spending their time on one story so I made it into three chapters.

I also wanted to give the read time to think a little before hitting them with the facts of the following chapter. I did do my best to get them submitted three consecutive days so there wouldn't be much waiting.

Thank you to those who are hanging in there. Besides, this is fun. Oh, I see a lot of readers are wondering about Brent. I'm not saying he is or is not involved but what if he is??? What could possibly happen next. Stay tuned!

The way the story was going I thought DG had given us a 12 chapter story, but he promises to complete in 3. Wouldn't matter. I would be here anyway to see how he twists and turns the characters and shows us the ending. Did old Brent take advantage of Amy one night when he took her home after being out with Him and Beth when she was plastered. Well we will soon know. But I am hoping it is hubby's son. Great read so far and looking forward to chapter 3.

I believe the baby is Brent's however the sad thing is that Amy doesn't know for it happened on one of those nights when she was pissed out of her brain and Brent saw her home, safely (?). Regards

The Brent acting funny may be a red herring

She cheated, he runs around acting like a bully with the men and a pouting baby with his spouse-AND then the way he handles the DNA results, this is very disappointing.

Good Story, hope ch.3 has some good surprises

personally, I think the baby is going to end up Brett's, and that she was going to go to dinner with her buddy Chip. Hopefully he'll end up with Beth.

The multiple chapters are just fine because you bring them out one after the other. I wish other authors could learn to do the same. The suspense is great. Harry may be right... mixed up DNA tests.

It's kind of hard to react to this part because not much is really happening. It's the carrying out of the consequences from part one. DG Hear tends to write these kind of stories where there is a lot of slow interplay between the characters. It makes things more true to life but in a story sometimes feels a bit plodding.

The only new thing is the issue developing with Brent and I agree with Peteinchicago about that. I guess since Mark has been dispatched a new "villain" was needed. And we got the little observation by Mark of how he really likes Beth, would have been with her if she hadn't been dating Brent. Of course if this speculation is true it's the 3rd strike against Amy, proving that she is a lying slut, which we really already know. Maybe the nice people, Mark and Beth, will end up together. But then he ends up raising Brent's kids, yuck. I guess we'll know soon.

but way to much violance. you should not read to much cheap newspapers or watch breaking news on cheap tv-stations, it's maybe selling but here you don't earn anything. good writing and the chapters are good in length. I would not read a story that had seven or more pages. the brent character is strange also, like the amy's attitude to think cheating is like when a little kid eats some chocolate when she should not. + the new voting system sucks. you can't see anymore which comments are going in favour of the writer or not. I gave only 75 for to much violance.

Like the story, but it does show one problem with men in the world, they think they are above being able to forgive for a mistake that happens. If John was a real man he would forgive and move on instead of making life hard on everyone!

John is a self-absorbed ass. Whether or not the baby is his, his anger towards it flows to the baby itself...even in the mother's womb...and the child experiences this hatred directed towards it. John can only 'see' himself as a victim. He can only see his estranged wife as a monster. Reality did not synch up with the ideal of the institution of marriage. Between the lines, he would have been all too happy to permanently dispatch Mark. This fictional story is intended to be an answer to all wimp husband writers but, instead, exposes the fears, insecurity, and twisted perverted emotions of so-called real men.

That is where he belongs for assault and battery.

Written as a step-by-step guide of how to do "I'm not sure what." Where did all that emotion from Chapter 1 go?

If so, Amy had better be toast. Maybe John will wind up with Beth??? (Not my cup of tea to wind up with a woman who has two small children. But I'm getting ahead of the story.) Well-written and leaves us with suspense.

The comment before said it all. Is Brent the father? Is that why he's been drifting away from John? Last chapter coming up.

LOL, I was just going to post my suspicion that Brent was the father, with his distance from John and closeness with Amy.

The wife sounds very sincere and believable, but Brent's silence speaks volumes. I sense a twist coming. Five stars.

must be shitting it. They are all about to find out that he fathered Amy's child, and his wife is sitting right there! No, I haven't read ahead, but this chapter seems to be pointing that way. Could be wrong, probably not.

There was really no point waiting until the baby was born for a paternity test, it's a safe routine procedure that can be done from the eight week.

But I think it's a pretty good guess...

Amy is lying again about only being with Mark and John. At least one other person she cheated with is Brent and it's his child. Finally Beth and John get together at the end.

Didn't see Cindy shooting Mark, but apparently Amy wasn't his first. Kinda pulling for a reconciliation now, and that hurts me to say it.

Who delivers DNA tests on a Saturday and isn't it convenient that Brent and Beth just happened to be there.?

Amy is a manipulator and John, the wuss-wimp, is the victim of this actress. I can't understand why he can't see it. I guess he is thinking with his dick! Maybe Brent would be a better companion if Amy AND Beth were together!!! He could have the best of both. Who needs enemies with friend like Brent?

Ah, nothing like a cliff hanger. What with Brent's attitude toward our MC who he used to be buddies with maybe the bay is his? Good story, can't fault our MC for his his doubts and suspicions, once you're lied to there is always doubt.
