"You ought to try to see that friend of yours, Charlie, while you're down there Sammy," my mom said as she ladled out some mashed potatoes on my plate for me.
"I'm sure he'll see Charlie while he's down there mom," as she looked at me with a smirk on her face.
"What's that supposed to mean sis?"
"Oh, nothing dear brother."
I still couldn't believe the biting attitude that she had towards me. She was my sister and yes I had had sex with her several times, but never without warning her about how it could sour things between us. Apparently I was correct and was paying for it now. Top that off with the advent of CC and Saffron's new relationship and I thought that it definitely sucked to be me right now. I needed to think about things thoroughly, including my breakup with Ally, so maybe getting away to Nashville for a week was going to be a big help.
I said goodbye to everybody and left for my apartment. On the drive back over I was contemplating my future and thinking about moving on from the different women in my life, not a truly happy thought. I was only halfway home when the thought of what Charlie had in store for me began to make me feel little apprehensive; wondering what my future held.

RedDuskerover 9 years agoThis chapter was really good, better than the last few ones. I feel that Saffron was a bit too harsh with Sam, hope that everything works out for them. At this stage in the story, I think that the best woman for Sam is Barb and I agree with Jedd11, a scene with Barb and Lisa together would be awesome. Looking forward to the next chapter, take care.
Jedd11over 9 years agoI see the extra time you spent on this on this paid off. Would have liked to have seen more about the Janus sisters, and you can't tell me they didn't learn these tricks from their older sister Desiree, so there's that. I also would like to see him explore the Frankel sisters; they're apparently still interested. And when I say explore these two sets of sisters, I do mean together. Saffron and CC likewise should have had more detail. As I have said before, your title is Saffron and Sam, so she needs her time in the story too. I guess my big complaint remains Sam himself though. In his own mind, and in the way you portray him. Sam thinks he's such a kind considerate, thoughtful person. Yet he treats all these girls like doormats, and then is stunned when things don't work out, and even blames them for the problems he created! Now either way would be fine, but you need to choose one personality or the other. Either he's lovable Sam, and he truly is done wrong by all these women. In that case though, he can't be the whining pretentious bitch he is, and then complain about them; he truly does need to behave blameless. Or he could be a cockhound, and tap whatever pussy he can get, sister included. Personally, I prefer the manwhore version, but if you decide he is 'sensitive' Sam, then you need to removed all his selfish jackass traits. Pick one or the other. I must say it is an improvement though. Now please give us more of the Saffron side of Saffron and Sam. I think Saffron has had more experience with the ladies than just CC and a one-nighter with Barb. So keep working.
tranzmanyover 9 years agoThank you for this chapter. I must say your writing is indeed getting better as you keep writing. You can still do with more editing, but then who couldn't on here? Sadly as your writing improves things look worse and worse for our hero. Next time I need a reminder that I have nothing in my life to be truly depressed about I'll think of this story and thank a higher power I am not Sam. Thanks again!
