Click hereAs for Ellen, I suppose she continued her modeling career, as short as it might be. You age out of that career pretty fast. Hopefully she chose better and now has the kind of man she said she wanted. Somehow I really doubt it. That cavalier attitude towards sex seems to preclude happy ever after.
As the man sang, "Here I go, playing the star again. Here I go, turn the page."
The story should have ended in the middle of page 1 when Jim saw the "friends". He should have left the restaurant, gone home and begun making plans for the divorce. It is hard to tell if Linda is heartless or a moron.
The blue dress was almost forgivable, but the rest of her plans were beyond cruel.
Where's the payback?
Also - this added nothing other than a bit of schmaltz jn it s attempt to make Jim's simping behaviour acceptable... Naah - he was a wimp in the original. He s an even bigger wimp here. Thank you for lying to me with your title
Sorry, but this isn't the author's better work. Just not credible. It just doesn't square with the earlier contempt the wife felt for and acted on with Lavaliier. The husband's character comes across like one of those medieval life of the saints tale. The original author was about the husband going back reluctantly to his wife because of the minor children. This one makes him something much worse. The wife showed no genuine remorse, paid no price, nor made restitution. So, nah. just not credible. And the wife, Linda, was too marginal; to the story variant.
So where was the payback? All that build up only to fail by not letting Jim get his back. Disappointing.
